Craig Nicholls

Craig Nicholls is an educator with over 25 years of classroom experience. He is currently the Director of Digital Learning at Melbourne Girls Grammar where he works with educators and students to improve their use of digital technologies in the classroom. Craig holds several industry roles that includes being a member of Digital Teaching and Learning Victoria’s Committee of Management, Victoria’s representative on the Australian Council for Computers in Education, an ISTE Community Leader, Adobe Education Leader and a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert.

Ashley Pratt

Ashley Keith Pratt is a co-Director of the Melbourne Girls Grammar Institute. Additionally, he is Executive Director of Curriculum, Pedagogy, and Innovation at Melbourne Girls Grammar and President of the History Teachers Association of Victoria (HTAV). Ashley completed his Master’s research at The University of Melbourne with a focus on Historical Thinking and curriculum theory. Ashley is a regular presenter at teacher conferences on curriculum theory and evidence-based pedagogical practice. Additionally, Ashley has written several textbooks for Cambridge University Press, including co-editing the Analysing Australian History series with Emeritus Professor Richard Broome. These series won Highly Commended awards at the 2021 and 2022 Education Publishing Awards. Ashley has also won the Excellent and Sustained Contribution to the Teaching and Learning of History and to the History Teachers’ Association of Victoria award from the HTAV and the 2022 Rising Star award from The Educator Magazine.

Annabel Astbury

Annabel Astbury is the Head of Education at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation which has a remit within its charter to educate all Australians. It has a long history of providing educational materials to Australian schools and families. Annabel is also the Chair of the Australian Media Literacy Alliance and serves on the International Organising Committee for UNESCO’s Global Media and Information Literacy Week.

Dr Matthew Harrison

Dr Matthew Harrison is an experienced teacher, researcher and digital creator with a keen passion for utilising technology to enhance social capacity building, belonging and inclusion in education. He has taught in Australia, South Korea and the United Kingdom at primary, secondary and tertiary levels. Matthew is currently coordinating Autism Intervention within the Master of Learning Intervention and is the Co-Director of Student Experience at the University of Melbourne Graduate School of Education. His research primarily focuses on neurodiversity, inclusive education and the effective use of digital technologies as teaching and learning tools. As a gamer, he has a particular interest in digital games-based learning and intervention.
